Repository Entity Key
Every entity registered in the Repository is identified by its unique Key, which is a GUID. The Keys are auto-generated by the Sentinet infrastructure when entities are created or registered in the Repository for the first time. It is not typical that Sentinet users would ever need to change them, even though it is entirely possible, and can be done with no impact on the system. The only more or less typical case when the Key may need to be changed, is when Sentinet Node’s Key must be changed in order to put different Sentinet environment in sync with each other for the smooth export/import feature.
Knowledge of the entity’s key can be very handy when Repository is searched for a specific entity by its known Key.
An entity Key can be viewed and changed by clicking Key icon located next to the entity’s Name field.
